LinkedIn continues to dominate as the platform of choice for asset managers communicating with professional audiences.
As part of Fundamental Media’s quarterly data analysis, we recorded 4,008 organic social media posts from 40 leading asset managers across Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube during Q2 2026.
When looking specifically at the top 10 leading asset managers, April saw a combined 554 posts across the three platforms, rising to 555 in May before peaking at 559 in June. LinkedIn alone recorded 295 posts in April, 292 in May, and 304 in June, reinforcing its lead over Facebook and YouTube throughout the quarter.
Facebook recorded 115 posts in April, dropping to 91 in May before recovering to 114 in June. YouTube saw 144 posts in April, rising to 172 in May and easing slightly to 141 in June.
Top 10 Asset Managers

Across Q2, posts recorded an average engagement of 69.3 per post across the sample (103.7 for the top 10 leading asset managers). Engagement here counts the likes, clicks, video views, shares, and comments a post received.
When analysing the full sample of 40 asset managers, engagement trends varied notably by platform and month. LinkedIn was relatively stable across the full sample, ranging from 47.91 in April to 55.57 in May and 47.69 in June. The standout was YouTube, which opened the quarter at 96.75 in April before surging to 323.7 in May, more than three times its April figure, then settling back to 164.43 in June. Facebook engagement rose modestly from 39.83 in April to 45.89 in May, before easing to 32.84 in June.
Looking at LinkedIn content themes across all pages, “Market” was the most posted-about topic during Q2 with 1,422 posts, followed by “Expert Views” at 1,200 posts. “Europe” rounded out the top three with 805 posts.
“Market” led from the outset, with 455 posts in April against 384 for “Expert Views” and held that lead through May and June as activity on the topic climbed steadily across the quarter.
“Europe” saw consistent activity throughout Q2, though volumes varied month to month. “Fixed income” held steady at 205 posts across April and May, before rising to 241 in June.


The topic “Europe” recorded an average of 8.37 versus the mean engagement by asset manager and month, across 805 posts.
Cryptocurrencies also delivered strong results, averaging 36.89 engagement across 49 posts, a relatively small volume of content but with a clearly receptive audience. Africa, removed from the comparative topic charts as an outlier due to its disproportionately high numbers, averaged 58.05 engagement across 12 posts. Alternatives also performed well above average, with 62 posts generating an average engagement of 55.33.

Posts on “Market” that performed well include one from State Street Investment Management sharing news of its newly appointed Global Chief Marketing Officer. Another strong “Market” post came from Franklin Templeton, announcing the dual listing of UzNIF on both the London Stock Exchange and the Republican Stock Exchange Toshkent.
