Fundamental Media employees coach Year 10s on post-16 options

Over the past four Thursdays of May, ten mentors from across the London office have volunteered their time to buddy up and help guide and support students from Oasis Hadley Academy on their post-16 options: A-levels, BTECs, apprenticeships and traineeships.

This fantastic programme, delivered in partnership with Future Frontiers, allowed the students time and space to think about what they want to do and the different pathways they can take to achieve their goals. Each session was crafted to encourage the students to think about their options and consider their strengths and motivations and with our mentors opening up the conversation by adding their own experiences, the students have completed the programme with a much clearer idea of their next steps.

It's safe to say that after their graduation yesterday, there were a few misty eyes!

“Being a coach on the Future Frontiers programme was very rewarding. My pupils were very engaged and motivated to explore their post-16 options and what careers they might be interested in. Although the programme was only four weeks, I could see that my pupils had a much clearer vision of what they want to do in the future after the last session.” – Ilonka, Content Marketing Manager

"Being given the chance to make a positive impact on a young person's life through mentoring is a hugely rewarding experience and I would recommend it to anyone. I learnt a lot, had a lot of fun and came away from the experience feeling like I had gained just as much as the young people I was working with. I would like to thank Jade and the team at Future Frontiers for all they do to improve the lives of young people and for allowing us at Fundamental Media to be a part of it." - Amy, HR Advisor
