Satisfaction driven by communications, meetings and offline events, research by Fundamental Media finds
Key findings:
Three out of four (75%) Taiwanese financial intermediaries are satisfied with the overall support received from asset managers, according to research by Fundamental Media.
This satisfaction is driven by communications, meetings and offline events. Since the pandemic, the preference for online events has increased, but not enough for respondents to prefer online events over offline ones.
Online events are preferred for their convenience and efficiencies of time while offline events are favoured for the value derived from face-to-face networking and interaction.
In February 2023, we surveyed 32 financial investment professionals in Taiwan to gauge their views on investment trends, support and communications received from asset managers, and media consumption.
When looking at initiatives from asset managers that were most valued during the pandemic, most respondents appreciated webinars and market updates via email. In terms of communication support, intermediaries would welcome more frequent, proactive and transparent communication from asset managers.
The pandemic has also had an impact on Taiwanese intermediaries’ media consumption. While the use of print media and radio has seen a steep drop, the use of mobile and desktop is steadily increasing. Podcasts are also popular among this group, with 78% of respondents listening to them.
The use of social media for professional purposes is also on the rise, although overall usage of social media has declined since 2019.
